Hello :) I hope everyone's having a good week so far.
As I mentioned in my last post, here are some gifts and fairly new purchases from the past few days. Mostly everything is thrifted except for the polka dot dress and Dr. Martens.
Below: A peacock brooch, flower brooch, a hello kitty watch I actually found recently from when I was little (I wanted to share it), a butterfly hair clip, spoon with teapot brooch, owl pendant, kuromi pin, and a butterfly brooch.
When you open the watch it gives you the time, and cuteness.
When I first bought these shoes I didn't think I would be able to wear them that much but they actually go well with a lot of outfits and they are more comfortable than my other ones. The store I got them from had every single color and pattern of Dr. Martens imaginable, I wish I would have taken a picture. They had pastel ones, super bright ones, metallic ones, velvet ones, the original kind, glitter ones, hello kitty ones, different floral ones, and lots of other patterns that I don't remember. Also the owners are from England and that's where they get their merchandise from.
This coat is sort of prep school/sort of 80s, it fits me a little big but I kind of like it that way.
A Kate Bush cd and this dress which reminds me of the blue powerpuff girl.
I also got a seashell box but I forgot to take a picture of it.
On another note, not too long ago I got to go to a death museum which is just like your average museum except it's filled with death-related exhibits. I was a little scared to go at first because I read that it's gruesome and people throw up all the time but I went and it really wasn't bad at all. There are no photographs allowed inside so I couldn't take any pictures but some of the things they had were: a serial killer room, an electric chair, a real severed head, lots of crime scene photos, an actual bunk bed from the heaven's gate suicides, coffins and embalming materials, the cabinet door musician Rozz Williams hanged himself on, a Manson room, pet taxidermy, a "death theater", a skull collection, and lots of other stuff like that. Overall it was kind of small and there weren't that many things there that were new to me but it was still an interesting concept. I think my favorite part was that the owner's pets are there, they had a live two-headed turtle, an iguana that they were feeding when we came in, and a dog that's allowed to roam the museum by itself.
Well I hope this post was somewhat interesting, sorry it's kind of short. I wasn't sure if I should post anything yet because I haven't finished editing my blog and changing the header/name but I felt like I should post something now because I'm trying not to go too long between posts. Anyways, feel free to tell me which item you liked the most.
